Sphaerotheca pashchima Padhye, Dahanukar, Sulakhe, Dandekar, Limaye & Jamdade, 2017 - Western Burrowing Frog

Subspecies in India

Sphaerotheca pashchima was described from the western parts of peninsular India (Type Locality - Ambodi Village, Maharashtra). The species was known only from the states Gujarat, Maharashtra and Karnatak (Padhye et al. 2017). Prasad et al. 2020, genetically confirmed the presence of this species in Panna Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh.
