Given below is a brief history of the Amphibians of India web versions. We follow strict guidelines in maintaining web version numbers so that the website users can cite the proper version in their scientific papers and other writings. The rule of thumb is that we will update website web versions by 0.01 every time we upload 300 reference images, and update version by 0.1 when we cross every 100th species page. We will update versions by 1 when there are major developments in the website structure or content. So far, the progress has been as follows:

2019/11/30 – v. 1.05: Reached 1,800 reference images. 
2018/10/29 – v. 1.04: Reached 1,500 reference images. 
2017/10/14 – v. 1.03: Reached 1,200 reference images.
2017/09/20 – v. 1.02: Reached 900 reference images.
2017/09/15 – v. 1.01: Reached 600 reference images.
2017/09/11 – v. 1.00: The Amphibians of India website launched.
